We just got back from our trip to the US for DesignerCon yesterday afternoon, ond oh my god did we have a great time! We were away for 10 days but it feels like much longer as we managed to do so much fun stuff while we were over! DesignerCon itself was fantastic, we had such an amazing day meeting up with everyone, soaking in the atmosphere, artwork and toys on sale and display there. This was our first year but we’re definitely up for coming over for it again. Thanks so much if you came and said hello to us on the booth, we loved making new friends

It was quite the game of suitcase Tetris to get all the Cavey stock and displays into our luggage, packing everything in vac bags helped a lot – and the Caveys looked so funny all squished in there!

We spent a week in LA before DesignerCon, meeting up with everyone, eating my body weight in food everyday, running on the beach, shopping, blah blah blah. And of course, DISNEYLAND! We went on Halloween so it was all spookified, i spent most of the day freaking out at all the Jack Skellingtons everywhere, yeah i’m the coolest.

The morning we flew home Gary Baseman took us for Mexican breakfast. I’d never had a mexican breakfast before, and oh my god i’m in love. Tortillas, spicy and eggs? yes please! While we were chatting and eating Gary drew a cute sketch of me flying through the air with a Cavey on my head….
