So i’ve just about come back down to earth after Comic-Con, time to share some pictures, right? Super Duper Caped Cavey felt like a little superstar and got oooh and ahhhh’d over all day. It was very strange having people come up to me having recognised me off the internet, its only happened once while living in England, back in the day of MySpace when i used to have giant plastic hair so i probably was pretty recognisable anyway
Comic-Con was insane! I knew it was going to be big but nothing could have prepared me for quite how giant and busy it was! After flying into LAX at 23:30 we had a quick sleep in our super lush hotel room there before getting up at the crack of dawn (I was too excited to sleep and woke Jonjo up at some ungodly hour, it felt like Christmas!) getting our car and driving to San Diego, dumping out stuff at the hotel and going straight to Con, so excuse my tired face!
Everyone we met was so sweet and friendly, we were so busy all day meeting people and looking at amazing stuff, by the time it closed I was absolutely buzzing and my face ached from smiling all day. I can’t wait to come back for the whole thing next year!
The first thing we see when we get to ComicCon, a giant Uglydoll, yes!
At the Munky King Omi booth I was invited to customise one of the Omi’s for the wall. I picked the one with the round ears because i thought he looked a bit like a Cavey
The next week when we were in LA the whole board of Omi’s from the Con was in the Munky King Store so it was nice to see mine again! All the omi designs are really nice, a good size to work on and I love the way they plug together to form one solid piece – can’t wait to get my hands on one to do a proper custom.
Underneath was a sign saying “do not touch” yeah, i’m badass
And if you had the misfortune to meet me at Comic-Con i probably made you pose for a picture with Cavey.
¬† Other lovely people who i met but was too over-excited to remember to take a picture: Jon “Spanky” Stokes of Spankystokes.com, The Triclops lads, Ray of Dragatomi, J‚òÖRyu (who’s ghost girl custom was even more breathtaking in the flesh), Jamie of KollectibleKulture.com, and many many more, I feel bad cause i’ve probably missed a bunch of people out, im not a meanie i promise, my brain just got overloaded.
With Chris Ryniak who saw me in the crowd and came to say hi, he was lovely
With Frank Kozik who is so friendly IRL, the grumpy face is just for the camera
With Scott Tolleson
With Rich “PodgyPanda“
With Voltaire *swoon*
With George and Ayleen of Toy Break
With Paul Kaiju
That night we went out to eat at a mexican place in the Gaslamp quarter, the food was great and the bar was so fun we ended up staying there all night!  I wish i could remember what the place was called, they had a zillion types of tequila and everyone was really sweet and friendly. We made a lot of friends that night and Cavey made good friends with the awesome barmaid
Thats it for now, stay tuned for the rest of Caveys USA adventure next week, and dont forget Ninja and Unicorn Caveys go on sale tomorrow Thursday August 12th at 7:00pm GMT.

i am so excited about the new release, i got my iphone alarm set to go off 10mins before launch
what time will it be for you where you are?
Looks like SDCC was a huge success for Cavey! I hope you have a great launch tomorrow.
thanks tash! sdcc was amazing, Cavey has quite a big head after all the attention. Really looking forward to tonights release, i have my fingers and toes crossed already!
Wow, Cavey is a SUPER STAR!
He got to meet lots of cool peeps!
I am glad SDCC was good for you! I was there too, but unfortunately, didn’t bump into you. The Captain America shield shot is grand!
thats such a shame we missed each other! It was strange and fun getting recognised, i think the pink hair helps. Only problem is i’m quite small and it was busy – next year i need a big hat or a light up ‘i’m here!’ sign
wow – it looks amazing! xx
